SQL Server Development
We have run many successful development projects using Microsoft's SQL Server
database. A fairly expensive piece of software in its own right, SQL
Server is a powerhouse for those database problems that stretch Access beyond
its limits. If you need to run a website (or an office system) with
potentially large numbers of simultaneous users (30+), if you need absolute
data security, if high performance is a major issue you may find SQL Server is
what you need.
Both Access and the .Net environment can provide front-end applications for
manipulating the data stored in your SQL Server back end. If your
application has a strong web aspect, probably the more powerful .Net
environment is what you need.
